Speaking to Jamie Carragher on Football for Change, Robertson said: “I’ve got one year left on my contract so I hope you (the fans) will be as vocal about me signing a new deal. As you have done with Mohamed Salah and Virgil!”

“No, I had eight great years and I have one more year left on my contract. I’m not a young player anymore but I love this club and I have great memories here. So let’s see what the future holds.”

“I still believe I can do well, which I think I have done well this season. So I think I can still play at a high level and if I can do that, that’s where I want to be and hopefully I can stay here for many years.”

Robertson has been with Liverpool since 2017 and has been a key figure in their two Premier League titles. As well as the FA Cup, League Cup (twice), UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup, making 340 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals and providing 66 assists.
