Former Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has slammed his former club for their poor performance despite spending a huge amount of money to build the team.

The Red Devils recently defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday. Giving them a strong chance of advancing to the final.ทางเข้า UFABET

However, the league results are disappointing, only 14th in the table and are likely to end the season with the worst position in the club’s history.

Rangnick, who was in charge of the Red Devils on an interim basis from December 2021 to May 2022. Believes the club need to undergo another major overhaul after a poor run of results despite spending more than £700million since leaving the club.

“In the end, they had to make some fundamental changes, having spent £700m, maybe £750m on new players. But the team is now in a worse position in the table than it was before.”

“They might win the Europa League, which would save the season because they would get into the Champions League. But the rest of it has been disappointing and it will be interesting to see what happens.”

“They signed a coach in midseason who likes to play with three or five defenders. While this team is built on a four-man system.”

“Of course in the Europa League they always turn things around. Especially against (Olympique) Lyonnais where they almost got eliminated, and of course the stadium (Old Trafford) has a big impact.” the Austrian added.
