Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has revealed he was surprised by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta decision to focus on defense in the second half of Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool .

“Because Mikel Arteta has worked with Pep Guardiola, we all think he is a pupil of Pep Guardiola, one of the most successful managers of the last 10 or 15 years,” Carragher said

“I think Pep Guardiola was the first one with an attacking style of football and the other one is Jose Mourinho who was almost as successful with the opposite style.
